Social security question?
after your lawyer request a hearing befor an administrative law judge how long does it take to set up a hearing to see one. on your social security claim, it has been 7 months since he requested it and 28 months since i fail a claim for disibility

I've got bad news. The Social Security Administration is WAY behind on processing appealed claims and doing hearings.
At this point I think it is fair to say that your situation is not abnormal. Keep in touch with your attorney's firm (don't harass them, once or twice a month would be fine) to make sure you don't get lost.
SSA is trying to hire more people, but getting money from Congress ain't easy.
