How can a computer diskette be de-magnatized...?

How can a computer diskette be de-magnatized when damaged after I walked through a metal detector?

you can either place it on a high powered magnet - like a speaker magnet and leave it there for a while - or ...

Most computers give you that program to erase - which does the same and then reformat the disk


Any magnet when heated up can become de-magnatized.
