Why do Human Rights campaigners never consider the real victims?

Answers:
Never is a bit too general, but I think I get your sentiment.

Given the timing of the question you may well have just watched the news about the bloke from Italy who isn't going to get deported after being released from a very short prison sentence after taking somebodies "life" as it violates his human rights!

World gone mad!

Firstly "life" should damn well mean life and secondly what rights should he have! If you commit a crime in a foreign country, especially murder, (this includes Brits when we go abroad) then you should be banished from that country for the rest of your life as well!

Because they are mostly made up of the "loony left" brigade and as we all know.... empty vessels make the loudest noise!!
They want job security, and there is a never-ending supply of criminals being "mistreated"
There are victims on both sides of the coin, those who were the actual victim and those of the one who committed the crime.

As far as answering your question, they have a political agenda to push, why report or focus on something that doesn't encourage what you seek.
That seems like an awfully general question. Who, in your opinion, are the real victims?

Because if we allow the government of the United States to abandon the ideal of Human Rights, you betcha we'll all be real victims in a hurry.
because trial lawyers dont make any money off it
Because they go for 'Easy Peasy' rather than thinking things through.

Remember the Animal Right Crap Heads that freed all of the mink; virtually decimated the wild life and still do.

It was a case of ''Oh look at those poor cuddly furry minkies'', lets set them free. Not looking at the fact that mink are a vicious wastefull predator in REAL life.

And so it is with some (not all, of the Human Rights People).

What I find disconcerting about the HR people is that they interfere here in a relatively open free Country, but they go no-where near Zimbabwe or China.

Perhaps they are chicken hearted underneath.
er... the real victims?
street kids randomly attacked and killed by militiamen.
workers in horrifying conditions paid peanuts.
innocent people caught up in war raped, tortured, imprisoned and killed.
people deprived of their dignity and of security and hope.
if you dont think these are victims of human rights abuse, you should go take a long look at yourself.

loony left? one day it might be your human rights violated, bet we wouldnt look so loony then.
to keep them in a job, just like scare mongers who go on about global warming. i'm drowning in s**t
A friend tried to get Amnesty International to see that there are victims in this country e.g. victims of NHS negligence etc. and he was told to "sling his hook", what more can one say?.
Either they have never experienced theft or violent crime or they are braindead and are trying to run the world without taking into account the true evils of human nature.
i take it you are talking about the murdered philip lawrence, i find this an appalling decision . what is this country coming to
