Have you heard about the Jena Six petition? Please sign to stop racial discrimination!?
Here's the basics of what happened:
In a May 20, 2007 Chicago Tribune article titled "Racial Demons Rear Heads," Howard Witt reported that the six students faced prosecution for charges including second degree attempted murder -- and possible prison sentences of up to 100 years -- for allegedly participating in an unarmed school brawl that resulted in no serious injuries. The alleged brawl followed months of racial tension after hangman's nooses were hung from a tree at the students' school.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??! This is ridiculous, an obvious sign of malicious prosecution. The prosecutor should lose his license to practice law and should be the one serving time in jail.
Here's the peition. PLEASE sign it to let the world know how absurd we think this is.
I live in Ohio and one of the local radio stations was trying to contact businesses in Jena to get comments. They were all hung up on or told to "leave it alone" The "n" word was also used. :((((

Although it's hard to summarize all the facts...this is injustice at it's worse.
I thought Jim Crow was dead...yet it prevails in Jena!!

Would you put a radical Muslim in charge of homeland security?
Would you put a Mexican gang member in charge of the black quarters in sing sing?
Would you make Michael Vick president of the PETA?
They all might be very qualified for each position but would you use them in that matter?
