Messing up kids lives??
My sister died in 2003 and left her 4 kids to our parents. My father died in 2006 which left the kids with my mother. My mother is irresponsible and is not taking care of them. My sister, my brother- in- law ( my deceased sister's bf) and myself are tring to take custody of my niece and nephew ( the other two are now grown) but we can't because my mother refuses to coperate. My mother is homeless and cannot care for them but refuses to give us the docs we need to do so (birth certificates, ss card, insurance cards ect..). And the court system can't do anything unless we have my mother arrested. We can't go get the docs without proof of custody.. Does anyone have any ideas ??? What can we do. We are in FL and the kids are 12 and 15

First, I would like to say I am very sorry for your situation. I've been there and am very bitter because the courts no matter where you live do not support children who are in custody battles. Your state is notorious for not cooperating. IF THE ONLY WAY FOR YOU TO GET THOSE CHILDREN IS TO HAVE YOUR MOTHER ARRESTED, THEN DO SO!! The courts in your state have denied custody to a bio dad who was married to the psycho mother. The state put the children in foster care rather than give custody to the bio parent who lived in another state!
Perhaps, God will smile more favorably on you.
talk to your mother and tell her you need to do this for the sake of the kids living a happy life the years there in r supposed to be fun tell her not to rune it and stop being selfish and stubborn...but in a nice way
