Marriage License?
God's Blessing In Marriage?
Marriage License?
Whats you opinion? Here a copy of the letter I sent to my Paster:
Dear Pastor,
If two people are married by you or someone else.
Would they be married in the eyes of God if it was
only the ceremony without a marriage license? Let me
explain a huge problem affecting a million
Americans. We were not aware of this when our
relationship started now we are engaged for a year and
in love with a huge problem. We are in our fifties she
is a widow and I'm divorced. She has military widows
benefits which include a pension and free health
care. She just turned 51 and I'm 55 we could be married
in four years and she would retain her pension if shemarries after 55.But when we know that she will needher health benefits sometime they will bediscontinued. These represent a couple hundred thousand
dollars or more over time that we can't afford to
loose. We don't like living like this! Is it possible
to have God's blessing without a marriage licensee? We enjoy your teaching each Sunday

Donnie, I believe God blesses all couples who are married in heart. You will be in good graces because you love your wife as Jesus loved the church. The official court document actually impedes a blessed marriage as you've now handed over all legal rights within your home & relationship to a court system.
Don't do it! Love and LEGAL do not mix. (This is why you are caught in this terrible choice. Someone made a law for you that certain benefits or finances would be LEGALLY ripped from you if you/she should be married.)
I think courts rule over marriage purely for profit. It's a money making racket for divorce attorneys, period. Otherwise- if it takes $27 and a minister to MARRY you, then it'd take no more than that to DIVORCE you. See?
Instead, the courts demand you hire a lawyer (each) and wait a filing period, and demand to know your finances before they'll let you out. They didn't ask me my finances BEFORE the jerk took all my money in this scam "marriage". They didn't want to hear about my financial deprivation DURING the marriage, (none of their business they said) but they sure as h*ll showed up at the END of my ruin to tell me: just get a divorce.
OK...so now they need to direct me to bankruptcy court!
Quite frankly, marriage does not belong in the control of the government at all. It is purely religious. The church should be the one to decide issues of marriage & divorce. As for paternity & support, of course those need to be addressed legally. But marriage is purely a religious issue and should remain a religious issue. It should NOT be addressed by the court at all.
It seems that the way of life to day is to live together even though it is not in God's word. You live in your place and she lives in hers for the next 4 1/2 years.
