The portugese police have previously said that no action will be taken against the mccann's. Personally i believe they should be punished. That little girl is either dead or god knows where, i can't imagine what she has been through/is going through and it is a parent responsibility to care for and protect their children as best they can. I don't believe they had anything to do with her dissapearance however it was them leaving three very young children alone while they dined out with friends which led to her dissapearance. I'm a mother of 2 young children myself and i would never leave my children home alone, not just in case they were kidnapped but also what if they woke up? All sorts of things could happen for example the child could accidentally strangle themselves with a tie or a piece of cord, the child could fill up the bathtub and drown, swallow tablets, bleach etc etc

I'm sure they will receive some form of discipline for their neglect.
The Portugese should do them on neglect as a minimum. I've never let my daughter out of my sight when on holiday abroad. And would never consider leaving her in the hotel room alone.
I serously hope they get her back, but they've crossed the line on the neglect side of things
Yes, they should be charged. I am in the "Anti-McCann" camp.
i know people think its boring now ,but how can mistreating anyone be normal,they need to be charged and should be they chose this holiday and chose to behave like a single courting couple not the lucky parents they were.

I very much doubt it. But they should be shot for leaving their kids alone like that. And their other kids should be taken. They cannot be safe with parents who think its ok to leave toddlers alone in a foreign country!
They probably could, and maybe they should, but they probably won't. If the Portuguese arrested people right after their kid disappeared, lots of people would feel sorry for those people, and they'd be mad at the Portuguese government.
