Probably not. But it should be. Alcohol and tobacco are just as bad if not worse for you. And they are both legal.

No, and probably not ever. They have been putting tighter laws on smoking and drinking so there's no way they would allow that to happen. If it did go into a public vote, most the people who would vote for it would either forget (don't argue, it's a proven fact smokers have less memorie) or they just won't vote.
I think it's safer than smoking and drinking so I am mutual on the subject.

Too much money to be made by underhanded legislators, drug companies, crooked cops, dealers, and growers. They and their lobbying money like the illegal weed just fine. A little jail time vs the money to be made by all is well worth the risk.

I think (just a thought) that before we *legalize* pot, we might have to stop making it illegal to smoke the currently legal tobacco (herb w/ medicinal properties as well).
Also the pro-pot movement might want to recognize that smoking pot is more damaging, hit for hit than smoking cigarettes, that tobacco is an ancient Native American herb with similar (if opposite) healing qualities: proven to help, ADD, multiple sclerosis and schizophrenia.
I've always thought drugs should be legal and let the dumb die out, freedom is worth it! However until the dumber hippies recognize that preaching pot and hating cigarettes is absolute idiocy...the can **** themselves, they are dumber than the establishment.
