I have a misdemeanor class c for family violence in Texas. i cant get a job in the health care or in?
retail stores and thats all i have experiance in. but i need a job so i can pay child support, it is already behind and i could be looking a jail time in the next 6mons.i know i need to pay it and i want to pay it, any suggestions for me?

Wow, what a mess. This is just one more reason for me to dislike Texas. They made the laws really tough but won't provide free public defenders for people like you. Seems like they just want to put as many people in jail as possible because they are poor.
I would Google every Family Law lawyer in Texas, yes, I mean the whole state, and ask them if they will take your case and seek legal fee payment from your ex-spouse. Start with the lawyers closest to you, or course.
In the meantime, Think if what you like to do or you're good at that doesn't involve client contact Does that rule include PHONE contact? See if you can ask the court or your district attorney if that law includes telephone contact. If it doesn't you could work customer service over the telephone.
Once you think of what you can learn to do that doesn't involve face-to-face contact try to get an entry level job in that field. Get training in that field. Some career colleges can get you trained in 6 months. You could do computer work if you're willing to learn how.
While you're on the phone with all these lawyers, ask them how to appeal this conviction, also ask them how it can be expunged from your record. (Expungement is when it is legally removed from your record by a legal process.)
Once you get a job, do fight this.
Sure, it's a very minor offense.
Class C misdemeanor shouldn't prevent you from getting any job.
Felons have the hardest time finding work. With 2.1 million people in prisons in the USA, I don't think you'll go. Good Luck!!!!
I am not familiar with Texas law, but I would say No.
If you were convicted of a Misdemeanor, you shouldn't have much problems getting a job. The only thing most employers care about is if you were convicted of a FELONY! And hopefully they evaluate the conviction and the job responsibilities, but most deny the person an interview.
Anyways, you are using your misdemeanor as an excuse on why you can't find a job, or you are not fully comprehending what employment applications are asking when it comes to being convicted of a felony.
You could be facing more jail time if you don't find a job soon if it's on your probation's terms and agreement. You may want to contact a temp to permanent employment agency and they can find you a job pretty quickly until you are able to find something permanent!

Why are you paying child support to your husband? Isn't that his responsibility? Maybe he needs a little tap on the kisser. Learn to be a good server in a restaurant. Your record won't matter there, and in a good place you can knock down good money with tips. It's hard work, but you're not afraid of that, are you? peace
