Should i become a criminal?
I know what you are thinking ("no you shouldn't become a criminal") but the probablity of going to prison is actually very slim (only 50% of crimes are reported, only 50% of those do the police ever catch anybody, in only 30% of those cases is there enough evidence to go to court, and 95% of those cases are dealt with at the magistrates court (or US equivilent) which usually results in a small fine or being found not guilty) and those that do get caught are usually idiots, (i'm sure i could 'get away with it' unless i was caught red handed) and the crimes i am thinking of taking up are, burglery, fraud or drug dealing. i would like to be a nice criminal and not hurt anyone or only steal from those who deserve it, that way i could hopefully live with myself.
Answers:
no, get a job and don't be a criminal. getting a job isn't that hard. YOU CAN WORK AT MCDONALD'S!!! it's not so hard, now is it?
no offense to McDonald workers.
50 percent can be alot. i wouldnt
heck why not... when you get there you get a bed, tv, playstation, 3 square meals a day, recreation and the tax payers paying 40,000 dollars a year just for you! rock on!
i guess nobody else got the sarcasm other than me hmmm
good luck ♥ ♥
I dont understand why you would want to do that though..
Why would you want to become a lawyer?
No, you need to get off your lazy butt and get a job just like other law abiding citizens. Why should we work our azzes off so you can steal from us?
I don't think hard, tough, criminals would post on freelawanswer.com . You probably aren't a criminal at heart. More like a nerd which is better!
omg...your smart. if you're smart enough to think of this maybe you could get a decent job. i mean you don't HAVE to, you can do crimes on the side, you know, for fun.as long as you don't hurt people.
No. We already have enough of those. You might consider politics, though we have more than enough of those as well. I hope you choose a useful life.
Why?
come on you dont really want to be a someone bad, do you? Those things do hurt people.
Become a politician and then you can really get away with it...
Well actually by becoming a criminal it will worsen the crimes, But I leave it up to your conscience
yeah..the percentage that you are talking about " that they get caught" are mostly the dumb criminals..
the way i see it ..u'll get caught while reading this..
you're just too dumb to be a criminal asking from people on the net to help you out..don't u know that u'll probably traced by now by the fbi
Ever herd of AMERICA'S DUMBEST CRIMINALS?
Hey, live is a gamble. And many of those you admire end not in jail but in a mental institution. So add that to your statistics.
Your figures are completly bogus. What is your source? For my money you pulled those stats out of your ***.
Seriously, it's not worth it.
Be careful how you use statistics. Most serious crime is committed by a small number of individuals, who "earn" a living that way. The more times you repeat a criminal act, and the smugger you get about how unlikely you are to get caught, the more likely you are to get caught. Even if recidivism is mainly caused by our society's unwillingness to give criminals a real second chance, the fact is, most prisoners are there for second and third or more times.
And the more times you commit a crime, the more chances for something to go wrong and "force" you to hurt or kill someone.
Go for it! I would suggest a consultation with the Cincinnati Bengals first, though. They will help you make some good choices. Good luck!
You have heard the saying "There is no honor among thieves?" If you are going to be a criminal then do not think you can be a "nice" one and survive. As for being able to "live with yourself" don't worry-you'll be dead in no time.
be a criminal if you want, but i think that's a selfish way to go.
you're shitting on people who haven't done anything to you or to anyone else.
burglary and fraud are just unfair to people.
if you have to do one of those then deal drugs because that wont affect innocent people, it'll only give people who already dug their own hole what they want.
No, don't do that. They all ready take enough taxes out of my check. Having more people on welfare and in the pen will not help.
the days of 'Robinhood' are over. Face reality- the longer you do it, the more likely (since you like to deal with statsitics) to get caught.
Now if you plan on having no family to teach right from wrong too, a hankering to being told what when and how to do everything in your life, like lousy food, and have no problem with bending over- go for it.
burglery? what gives you the right to take something that doesn't belong to you or you didn't have to work for?
fraud? paper- my friend=there is always a paper trail
drug dealing? do you not have a concience about the minds of America's future?
Do you have a concience at all?
To he77 with your statitics-you may be intelligent but not using your intelligence for your own betterment- use your brains for something you can have pride in! Think all the study to find all the statistics you found- put it to better use!
I do not believe you are taking into account how many crimes are easily caught on film these days, aside from the general willingness of others to know your business and to put it freely on the street or outright snitch, out of a sense of patriotism or the desire for recognition or some other reward. In addition, concrete proof is not always necessary to convict a person. Police and prosecutors regularly falsify evidence and commit procedural violations to influence the jury, most of whom are regular consumers of television and are easily guided. Sure, your lawyer may object, but how many jurors truly "disregard" once the impression has been made?
Be nice if you want, but an attorney told me once that from a legal point of view stealing money is the most anti-social crime a person can commit. "A person can get less time," he told me, "for raping a child." Finally, you may do your time, if caught, but you will not "pay your debt" until long after your parole. The remaining years on parole can ruin a lot of opportunities, burden your family or anyone who becomes involved in your life, and complicate many other aspects of your life in ways you may find hard to believe.
Think on that.
how do you decide who will be hurt. drugs hurt everyone as do the other two crimes you talk about.
Sure, in a couple of months I will be a criminal defense atty and I need the work
