What are the differences between the U.S. supreme court and the Taliban?
Are they both just two different groups of theologically guided dictators?
Answers:
Members of the Supreme Court wear robes on their body. Members of the Taliban wear robes on their head.
With the court you go to jail. And with the Taliban you lose your head.
Not a big difference but still a difference.
yes, you hit the head on the nail my friend,
A whole lot! The supreme court can be over ruled by the congress making a new law or making an amendment to the constitution. The Taliban would just have you stoned to death, or shot if you didn't agree with them they really didn't care what you or anyone though or felt and that was that no way to change what they wanted and said was law.
No. The supreme court has nothing to do with theocracy. They have to do with special int rest groups headed by people raised by people who lived in a time when many people followed god. The Taliban follow god, and do what they believe is righteous, in order to do more than affect only their life.
To be honest, the Taliban is far less corrupt, but they follow a code of morals that we find unacceptable.
The US Supreme Court settles disputes between conflicting interests when they bring cases to the supremes,, they are supposed to make their rulings based on their interpretation of the US Constitution. They get appointed to their position by the advice and consent of the President of USA and the Senate of the Congress.
This whole arrangement is part & parcel of the Republic of the USA where the people by voteing select their leaders.
The Taliban have a particular interpretation of Muslim religions, and impose that on their people, who do not have access to any system of voting to replace the Taliban or how they interpret stuff.
