Charged as an adult?
i am 17, and out on bail right now for aggravated assault. If I am charged as an adult, as my attorney said could happen, does that mean I will spend time in Adult Prison? I am looking at 5-8 years. I am really scared and I don't know what to expect.

Yes, you could be charged as an adult and yes, you could be looking at doing time with the big boys. Better hope you have a good attorney, you are going to need one.
usually you are placed in a juvenile facility until you turn 18, then you would be transferred. Remember that fear, it might keep you from doing something really stupid in the future. You had better hope that the court is leinent on you and just gives you juvie or probation.

if this is 1st offense you shouldnt do hard time
probably a probation period of 3 to 5 years and fines or doing coumminty service !
IF your going to jail as an adult YOUR in with others who mostlikely will make you their puppy !

You are more likely to not even go to trial until you are 18, so, not matter what, if you are guilty you will be serving time with the big boys.
You have every right to be scared, but you did violating attack someone, you belong with the violent people, not out here with the rest of us.
