I woman lied to me about having her tubes tied and now she's pregnant (supposedly)?
What are my rights here?
I have proof that she also slept with another man while we were dating and also told him her tubes were tied. She has also contacted him to say she is pregnant.
Both of us suspect that she was trying to get pregnant on purpose to get child support as she is currently on welfare with three kids and we are both well-off men who seem to have been targetted for this sick game of extortion.
If she is pregnant and I am the father, I want full custody of the child because she lives a life of lies, drugs, violence and chaos and that is no place for a child. I also feel that her current children are in danger and probably should not be allowed to stay with her.
Please tell me I have a chance here. Any lawyers out there?

Depends on which state that you live in.
If she has a history like you says she does with drugs...and you PROVE she does, you would be likely to gain full custody...but you need to prove it without a doubt. One thing that you may want to do if you are worried about her current children is turn the lady into Child Protective Services. Get a paper trail started so it will make it easier for you to prove that you are very concerned with the children's welfare. (EDIT: you do not need to leave a name or contact number when you do turn her in..do it anonymously, but the courts can still look at the ladies history and go from there.)
Once you know for sure if she is pregnant, then contact a lawyer to get legal advice on how to proceed to you have full custody.

speaking form experience you CAN get pregnant after your tubes are tied (ive had 2 since i tied mine)
now if she did lie thats just horrible...you don't have to prove she was sleeping around you just take a patertny test and if its not yours then boom she did sleep around...
I'm not a lawyer but if you can prove that she's unfit then you'd get custody. I want to know tho, why you were messing around with a an addict who sux as a mom. Also, depending on the kind of tubal she had, she can get pregnant if her tubes were tied.
You have the right to pay child support.
You do indeed have the right to fight for the child. If you are not in a close relationship and can convince a judge that the child will be better off with you, you do have the right to take care of him.
Recently an 11 y/o boy was molested by a women. He is liable for child support. Unless pappy has full custody, pappy is going to pay.
If you are really "well-off" why are you not talking to your lawyer about this?
you have a chance however It wont be cheap. contact a good attorney in your area specializing in divorce and liability. you may also want to take her on maury or montel for free testing and to get some hard evidence on film before you suprise her with the lawyer. be careful not to be an idiot if you go on TV. be open be honest, let her be the B!0TCH that she is.

Tubal ligation is not 100% in preventing pregnancy. It's about 98% prevention. Many times when a woman has the surgery and does become pregnant, they have an ectopic pregnancy. This is fatal and the woman needs an abortion. Other times it can be a normal pregnacy.
I'm not sure what someone is able to do legally in your situation. The health industry protects the individual privacy so many people are not able to access other people's health records.
If she is pregnant, you can still get a DNA test done to see if the child is yours and fight for custody. This would be a seperate issue.
if she was good enough to lie down, then she's good enough to be the mother of your child. suck it up and if the baby is yours pay your 18 yr paycheck to the mom. further more you will be lucky if courts let you see the child seeing how you are degrading the mother via Internet. btw condoms avalible , you knew she had multiple partners and you didnt protect your self that saying a whole lot about you and your choice in women.
First and foremost if you are a suspected father take a paternity test! You will not have a leg to stand on without it. If you turn out not to be the father will you still be as adamant on severing the child's custody from the mother? What are you most afraid of; paying child support? or the child's welfare?

There seems to be a lot of negative comments about her and your reaction to what she "might" be doing. If she lied to you, well you got duped just like those who were lied to about her being over 18 too. So, you might want to check out more about your partners before you go around and sleep with them. Because, believe me, a custody case could turn into a statutory case if you are not careful.
Thirdly, do you think you would make a capable father if you had sole custody? Maybe paranting classes are needed to help. The way your topic is written, it show that you definately have issues and you could wind up screwing your childs head up. So, before going off half-cocked think about what it is you want, if you are capable of doing it, and is it right for the child. Because, before you forget, it is the child who will suffer most in this mess. Think, man. Don't make a bigger problem that what is already one.
