Is it ok to be polygamous?
since everyone seems kinda wild nowadays, I wanna know your views on it.
Answers:
NO it is not ok to be polygamous, because you are hurting a lot of people in this process, like abandoning the family especially kids which are too young and vulnerable to mend for themselves. Being wild doesnot constitute polygamous ways, that is why the law is kin to prosecute polygamous marriages and individual to the full extent of the law.
The law protects more the kids because of age and feelings that their parents have been, because it is one of the reasons why some families are broken up.
I think that is up to the religion of the person and the government should not legislate that.
America the free right.
With A.I.D.S and all of the other STDS that one can get it is the only way to go.
EDIT: I hope you realize that I am joking about this being the only way to go, one woman is more than enough for me..
I really don't care how one or more consenting adult(s) chooses to define their relationship. As long as there are no parties being exploited by means of being forced into a polygamous relationship I take no issue with it.
I find it a little wild that we allow the government to dictate how consenting adults define their relationships.
It is illegal,Even though, some people get away with it by citing their religeon.
I know that the fundamental mormons still believe in it. but not latter day saints. I dont personaly see it as ok. It's hard enough trying to hold up one relationship, talk about 3 or 4..
Well, it is not my cup of tea. However, it is a violation of the 14th amendment to tell someone that they cannot practice there religious beliefs, because they do not fit societies standards of what a marriage should be.
The government does not owe any small minority, like the polygamists, any special legislation recognizing or endorsing its elective practices. Consenting adults may do what they wish, but the public is not obligated to give them its stamp of approval by issuing a marriage license.
