If you suddenly became homeless would child protective services take your child from you?

or would they assist you with getting shelter

Answers:
In Maryland it is against the law to take a child away because of homelessness. Learn your rights and seek help. good luck

Of course you would get help. They wouldn't let kids live in alleys and dumpsters.
are you homeless
i think theyd snatch ur kid untill you can prove that you can take care of them. Get a job.
It depends on where you live, in most jurisdictions they would remove the child from your care, because you cannot provide in all senses that a parent should in the best interest of the child.

And thats what CPS is for.. to look out for the best interest of the child.
If you feel like you are going to be homeless suddenly, maybe you should contact your local welfare office. They might be able to help you to avoid it.
In some states CPS automatically takes the kid; in other states they are obligated to help you find shelter.
