If I call my company "Hot Bunny Bakery" will I have any legal problems with companies like Playboy Inc.?
I want to call a Bakery "Hot Bunny". Will this get me into any legal problems with other companies which use a bunny in their logo (i.e. Playboy)?
Answers:
No problem. The word "bunny" is so generic that it can't be registered as a trademark. Playboy can register "Playboy bunny" as it is a specific reference to a specific brand. The same goes with a logo. That Playboy uses an image of a "bunny" does not give them exclusive rights to all images of rabbits.

It really depends what angle you look at it from, and what the bunny logo will look like. To be safe I would stay away from it.. you do not want to get involved with a multi-million dollar company in a copyright-infringement suit.
This happened in Texas between Starbucks and a normal coffee shop, and the logos were a little different, but the coffee giant still won.
If you use their logo, you will get a cease and desist letter eventually. If you don't stop, you will be sued, so NO.
