What is the statues of limitations for reporting child neglect? My old boss?
fired me. She claimed neglect on me. Now I know that is NOT true. I can have whitnesses tell anyone that. I think she got rid of me do to personality conflict. She never reported me to the state so I figure she also knew it was not true. Could she ever report me at any time. I was fired a year ago. Can she go back anytime and report it. I am trying not to make her mad becasue I am afraid she will use it to get back at me.

If you were a child care worker under her employ and she TRULY believed that you were neglecting the children, she was legally obligated to report the abuse immediately. Failure to do so would be considered conspiracy after the fact. She's using this issue to manipulate you, don't worry about it.

There is NO statute of limitations on reporting child abuse or neglect. However, the agencies are supposed to weed out the "retaliation reports" nearly a third of all reports fall into this category.
I suggest that you either live your life and raise your child, without regard to what idiot stupid retarded people think or threaten to do to you; or you could continue to fear what might happen.
If CPS shows up at your door, they need to have something resembling evidence that the accusations are true.
My husband's ex-wife (crackwhore, lost her own kids in custody battle - hers live with me and hubby) calls CPS about every couple of months, always the same accusations. The agents come, they talk to us and the kids, they leave, they send us a letter in 2 weeks saying the reports are unfounded and the case is closed. They'e now gotten into the habit of CALLING me to see when it would be a good time to come!!
I also grew up in foster care and I know a lot of the workers, who know the reports are BS, so that may hav something to do with it, too, but generally, I wouldn't even worry about that.
In fact, you could sue your old boss for slander.
