Anyone know why a bill making manufacturers list where ALL their products come from should/shouldn't be listed
I recently received an email asking for my signature - It was a petition to try to get the government to make manufacturers list where they buy certain parts from - like if fisher price makes all their toys in the United States BUT parts come form a foriegn country - the manufacturer should list this on the package - I dont understand why the government wouldnt just pass a law requiring them to do this - i actually assumed it was already done ( i just never paid attention ) - and its not just because of the recent china scare - for other reasons like my cousin - since she was about 15 ( she is 30 now ) she has always tried to buy american made items - just because that is who she wants her money to go to - - does anyone have any thoughts ? or agree that this bill should be passed or should not be passed / disagree ?
