I got a ticket for throwing a cigertte butt out the window how much is the damage?
it was in torrance ca the ticket says throwing flaming item out window. how much will it cost and can i fight those? ive called and the ticket is not showing up im leaving to mexico in 3 days for a few months can i pay it threw the mail

I assume you were cited for violating Vehicle Code section 23111. You can expect the fine to be around $380.
If you will have computer access in Mexico, you can take care of everything online (it will be several days before the ticket gets into the system):

If not, you should get something in the mail, so be sure somebody is checking your mail in the US so that you do not wind up with a warrant outstanding when you try to reenter the US.

If so you probably don't have to pay it at all.
they will give you a time to pay and you can always call them if it comes in the mail while you are gone and explain you were on vacation.
There might also be a number on your ticket, and you can call that and ak them what to do.
A ticket usually list the fine. If not, call the court (it will be listed) and ask how you can pay it by mail.

Come on, your lucky you didn't start something on fire! Hopefully you learned from this potentially deadly act and your fine fits your crime!
if you miss the court date the court will issue a bench warrant for your arrest.
the cost last time I heard was 300.00 dollars, just be glad it did not stat a fire!!
