HOA board refuses to communicate with homeowners?
recently volunteered to create an entire online forum for our HOA and it's board of directors. Ironically, my noble efforts were met with no thanks and even criticism by a few of the current board members. Furthermore, nearly all of the currently elected board has yet to make any practical use of the new forum. They continue to make big spending decisions through private communication between board members. Technically, they must "vote" on the decisions among themselves at the monthly HOA board meeting. However, the rest of neighborhood must attend each and every meeting to voice their concerns and we have no way of knowing if/when an important issue is being considered. How can we make the board communicate with the rest of the HOA? Thanks for any help on this.

You left one important thing out of your question: What state are you in?
Laws differ from state to state. In Florida, where I live, a HOA board cannot meet unless it is done in public. All votes must be public as well.
As to your web site, while that is a good idea, you cannot impose that on your HOA board. They have a right to endorse it or ignore it as they see fit.
