Can a student sue a university if they loose a scholarship due to the school not sending the official forms?

My sister was renewing her scholarship, she went on July 3rd to drop off a form asking the school to send her official transcript to a business to renew her scholarship.

She calls the company today, she is told they never got her transcripts and she is disqualified, yet my sister asked the school in a timely manner, can she sue the school? Serious answers only please...

Answers:
probably not. the school probably owes no duty of dilligence to its students. if, however, the school advertizes that it will quickly send transcripts, and invites reliance on that promise, then maybe there would be a valid claim.

Did she pay for the transcripts and does she have a receipt? If so, she should show this receipt (with the date on it) to the company. Transcript processing is a paid service in every university.
