Allowing to drink before the age to drive?
I heard that somewhere in europe teenagers are allowed legally to drink before being able to drive. I suppose the coolness of liquor would wear off for most before they get in cars and cause accidents. ideas/comments?

i always thought that's the way it should be. or at least you should legally have to get totally wasted and try to do some reflex test before you get your license. the problem is that people are driving, then they drink; and some people don't know the affects of alcohol
That's weird.
Here in the UK you have to be 17 to drive and 18 to drink.
I was under the impression that you had to be 18 to do both in the rest of the EU - although I am not sure for other European countries.
I believe that it's allowed in Italy, so that the kids can create good drinking habits.
