Do prisoners have access to the internet?

Not at all . I was in Altcourse (Liverpool) and Wymott (Leyland) . We did have computers but only so we could have a fookabout for an hour or so a week (and pinch the printer paper) ... I was told it was because of the paedos in there ... we could have playstations etc ... but not XBoxes because they had a hard drive which could be used to store information to aid escapes etc ... (I think they watched too much Prison Break).

some lifers that are CAD D finishing off have them in thier cells to study on.

I think some prisons do have Internet now. People go to prison for punishment so why do they have tv's, games, internet some prisons even have a game room where they have playstations.

Yes they can as many are undertaking open learning courses on line and often need to access the internet for information. Most are monitored by the way.

we do. we are able to learn very much and rehab for the future when we hit the streets. i am ableto build pcs from scratch, make all sorts of repair. can write a litle software and have learned so much about security setups. we have come a long way.

they get away with murder by allowing them to be entertained in prison. dont you think they should be punished instead of chatting to the outside world.if they have done wrong then they should not allow them to have any privilages at all let alone use the internet.
if they can get heroin and cannabis I would imagine the internet is quite easy to get access to.
seriuosly though the answer is yes but not the same access as you or I can the computers they use are very much controlled to certain sites and vitually no freedom to search freely
Wouldnt be suprised i dont even have sky tv, they get it free.
