Do employeers tend not to hire candates that are over weight althought they are qualified for the position?
Answers:
Yes. This has been proven time and time again. They also tend to hire attractive people over the non - and men with hair. It's also been proven that babies will look longer at a geometrically correct face . . .
not fair
Someone over weight I will not hire as they cannot get under kitchen sinks or a vanity to install even a faucet.
Plus construction is physical and the last thing a contractor needs is a disability claim because some heavy weight caught a heart attack working or falling off a ladder
Yeah. Even though it's not fair, ppl want those who have a good appearance. If they are between a choice of someone overwieght or someone skinnier, take a gander at who they'll choose.
In this economy, with unemployment at record low levels, most employers are looking to hire anyone with a pulse. If you didn't get the job, I doubt it has much to do with your weight, unless it is a physically demanding job that you could not perform because of your weight.
Nah, I don't think so though there would surely be instances where this would be the case. Otherwise, by and large, my general observation, at least in the case of professionally managed and run enterprises, has been that genuine merit scores over all other aspects/dimensions (however wide they may be {pun intended!}).
