I need to know what to do about a situation that I am in.?

My boyfriend is in jail at the moment. He was on work release and has been doing everything that entitles to it. Yesterday, he was feeling very bad and could not go to work so he stayed home. He is in maintenace for an apartment complex, and also lives there. He called in and thought everything was alright. When he returned back from work release he was told to get his stuff and he was put into population and they are dening his work release now. He was told that his boss called and told the jail that he did not attend work. He called me from the jail and told me all this. I called his supervisor, the Lead Maint. Tech, and he had no clue on the situtaion. So I took matters into my own hands and called the property manager. She said she did not know what I was talking about and that she did not make the call. I told her that she could rectify the situtation by calling the jail and stating that it was a misunderstanding. She told me that we would discuss it tomorrow and for me to call her at work. I am also worried about his belongings and his apartment. He has paid his monthly rent, and he does have a month-to-month lease. I asked her about her apartment, and her exact words were that she would not be that cruel and would not do anything. I do not know what to do at the moment. I am worried about his apartment and his belongings. Should I contact somebody else?

Answers:
Keep the rent paid. the only down side is if somebody breaks in and steals his stuff...

This sound like a real mess, I would call a lawyer if he did nothing wrong, he will get out of it
like sand through an hour glass......
I would have to say that you need to get in touch with the person that you spoke to and said it was ok for him not to go to work!! If that person does not want to help, then I would suggest getting a lawyer to get the whole thing straightened out!
i really do not know what to do in a situation like this....but i think it is wrong of them to take him back to jail when he was trying to do right and has his apartment and everything....maybe try to contact his attorney or go talk to the prosecuting attorney....i wish you all the best...i know it hurts i have had a son in prison for 14 years and it has been so long since i have seen him....but others do not really care because they do not know our loved ones..and people get involved in wrong crowds and they can go down with them..i do not think the justice system is really that good....innocent people go to jail and those that do serious crimes if you got enough money you get offllllll
You should ask the landlord if you can have the key to go and check on the apartment and his belongings. Carry on with trying to get the his work release sorted out as he did go to work.
other than having him contact an attorney, do not get involved I know that sounds harsh but in matter were some one was in jail one can never fully trust this person to be fully honest.if you get into the apartment you could be liable for things which you do not need.
