What can happen in the state of texas if i lose a court case over hospital bills?

they get a judgement against you....
I guess then you will have to pay the hospital what you owe them..
You may have to flee to Canada or face the relentless persecution of collection agencies. Another, less drastic option, might be to declare bankruptcy.
They will put you in a clinic.
Just kidding ...but, seriously, they won't do anything, but if you ever have a heart attack they will show up smiling. You should show respect for the judgement and the system and all that [expletive deleted], and, at least, pay $5 a month. A continuous &5 a month is better than $100 every blue moon.

In April of 2002 my wife wife was seriously hurt in fall, she was taken to the hospital and spent 10 days there. The bill was over $20,000. Which I couldn't even come close to paying, I applied for "Financial Assistance" and never paid a thing. The hospital, I assume , accepted what Medicare paid. I spent 4 days in a hospital and never got a bill. Get a copy of the bill and look it over very carefully for over charges. My wife spent 4 days and I got a bill for $952, which I questioned and was reduced to $500, which I was willing to pay until I got he itemized bill and found out I was charged $830.00 for a medication and they told me me that it was lumped into one and was for 6 doses, this meant each dose was $138.00 I told them she had ulcers and not a heart condition. Haven't heard from them since. So you just have to question the bill, these hospitals write off more than you think but you have to ask, tell them you just can't pay it at this time but will work on it if push comes to shove, Yes this in Texas in Austin.
