Labour board says I waited too long, lazy bureaucracy or what?

I work in a sawmill for the past 5 years. When it was time for me to renew my First Aid Ticket they paid for the course but refused to pay for my time.I am primary first Aid. When another 2 years rolled around, I refused to take the course, after a few months they finally said they would pay me for my time. The culture at work is definitely not good, nepotism etc.etc. Now it's time to renew my ticket again and I asked the mill manager if they would do the right thing and pay me. Of course not. So, I called Labour Board and the person answering the phone cheerfully said too much time has past. Is there a higher place I can go to?

Sorry, Mate. I'm across the pond, and don't know your laws, but good luck to you. I don't like it when management takes advantage of workers no matter where they live.

You just plain waited too long. It's a Statute of Limitations. There is nothing you can do.
