I need someone that knows the law.If a mother driving intoxicated in CONNECTICUT with her children gets into an accident and?
I need an answer from someone who knows the law. If a mother is driving intoxicated with her children and gets into an accident and 2 out of 3 children die, what will the MOTHER be charged with? What would the legally required minimum sentence be?

Answers:
The prosecutor could charge her with a multitude of crimes. At the very least she will be charged with driving under the influence having an accident causing serious bodily injury and death. Aggravated vehicular homicide. Depending on your state, the most severe will be manslaughter, or murder. Again this will be decided by the prosecutor, and she will probably get 10 years to life in prison.

She can be charged with Drunk driving, reckless endangerment, involuntary manslaughter for starters. Not sure what the sentance would be, but I believe it would be around 8-10 years. (Thats not really long enuf in my book)
