Did tony snow (white house press secretary) lie to the people who interviewed him for his position?

did they believe him? did he have to lie to get the position. being that his profession is as a professional liar, if he lied at his interview was that a good thing? some will say he tells the press what the government tells him to say, i say, if it comes out of his mouth and he knows it to not be true, that makes him a paid liars? he is also quitting his position as a paid liar because it does not pay very well!! how can anyone have a hard time living on a 6 figure income? does that also mean that lieing doesn't pay?

Answers:
I agree that as Bush's press secretary, Snow was a 'professional liar'. So maybe they had him tell a few big whoppers during the interview to see if he could do it with a straight face. 8^)

I have a sort of grudging respect for Snow. His predecessors, Scott Maclellan(sp?) and Ari Fleischer always tried to pretend they were telling the truth, they always acted like 'Hey, why doesn't anyone believe me?' But Snow acts like "Yeah, well that's the official story and if you don't believe it f**k you. Next question?" He lied with real aplomb! Also I could see that cancer took a lot out of him.

A lot of people are leaving the administration now, getting out while the getting is good. Like Karl Rove last week! Before
that, Harriet Miers (chief White House attorney), budget director Bob Portman, political director Sara Taylor, etc. Who says they didn't have an exit strategy? 8^)

Get real
sounds like you have a Tony Snow Fetish.
Lieing to a liberal isnt even fun anymore. Please, if I were to lie to a liberal there would be 2 people there that werent telling the truth.

Do we really want to talk about the entire lieing thing, cause I could bring up a Mr. Clinton and a Ms. Lewinsky thing if you want.

"I did not have relations with that woman." Never mind the DNA you pulled off of her dress.
All the people who represent and defend Bush are accomplices to the Administration's crimes. They are sick arrogant individuals in terms of personality. When reporters have brought up legitimate questions they basically have spit in their faces. They just keep the truth away from the people.

They have the personalities only a Nazi could love.
