Do you agree with the following statement? We are all capable of murder under the right set of circumstances.
Explain why you do, or don't, agree.
Answers:
Absolutely not! We are all capable of defending ourselves, and if it comes down to the other person dieing, then that's what happens, but that's not murder.
yes , we are all capable of it , but most of us have enough self control not to .
I think so. If someone hurts my family, I will go after them.
YES! I am not a violent person but if anyone ever took my children's lives or raped them i would be capable of murder. If anyone ever tried to do the same to me and it was in self defense i would also be able to do it. Anyone can get pushed to that point...it just depends on what it is
Yes, I agree. I could commit murder if in the right circumstance. And I would be certain that it wouldn't be bothering me the rest of my life either. Let's say that I'm asleep and hear a window break. I jump out of bed and grab my loaded gun. I yell, "Stop or I'll shoot." And he keeps coming toward me with a gun. I wouldn't have a problem pulling the trigger and I wouldn't shoot him in the leg either. I would unload my gun into him right through the heart or head and I would have loaded the gun will hollow points, too. Just a big mess to clean up after I call the cops to come get the body. One story. Mine. I wouldn't be sued to pay for his medical expenses or loss of income, etc. One less criminal on the streets.
yea u no if ur mad enuf and acually think it out hell yea u can get away wit it 2
like o.j.
hahahaha
id say yes we all are, because its a natral instinct to try and survive, and if it means killing somone to protect your self then i think most people will. mayby for som people it may take worse circumstances but id say yes we all are.
Different things trigger anger so it's possible for anybody to murder.
I have to agree with Wayne's statement.
A person could never bring themselves to murder if it is not in his or her nature. That same person could, however, kill in self defense or justified retribution which, IMHO, is not murder.
i think most of the folks answering so far have mentioned protecting their family- that is not murder. back to your question, yes i do think humans are capable of murder under the right circumstances. it is human nature and i'm not talking about the sociopaths or other personality disorders. murder is a classic part of the human drama.
Yes. We all have our breaking point. If pushed far enough we can all murder.
Yes. I do believe most people are capable of it. There are the people who have no conscious control (mentally ill/retarded) and could do and not realize it is wrong. Alot of people do it, criminals, and still don't think they are doing anything wrong. Then there are every day Joes who murder in self defense. Anger is normal in humans, some show it more, but that doesn't mean they have more of it. Some poepl try to keep and anger, and stress inside all the time and it just gets out. They can't control it. The dictionary definition of murder is Murder is the illegal killing of one human being by another. There have been nuns and monks who have murdered some1. Any one can do it if they don't manage their stress.
Self defense is not murder. However, if I had a child or loved one brutally killed and it looked like the killer was going to get away with it, I don't know what I would do. I pray that I never have to find out!
I know I am capable of killing. Extreme circumstances that others might call murder I might call justifiable homicide. I think the worst I would be guilty of in my own eyes would be a revenge killing. If and when the judicial system fails and all legal avenues have been exhausted I can see myself going hunting.
If that is murder then so be it but I would never consider myself guilty of murder. Semantics is probably the only difference between what I am capable of and what you are calling murder. I can see a certain amount of help to balance the scales to be justified.
There is basically an unwritten law in Texas. I have heard prosecutors refer to it on several occasions when a jury brings in an acquittal where the defendant did in fact kill. The District Attorney will say something to the effect, "The jury decided the victim needed killing". When the victim needed killing I can very lenient on the executioner.
yes, everyone has the ability to commit murder.
absolutely.
in a case where only one of 50 people will survive, all 50 of them will probably attempt murder.
God's Word says "If you hate, you have already committed murder in your heart"!
God judges the heart! You are not just capable...you are GUILTY!
