.08 is legally intoxicated in the US. You can still get nailed for DUI even if it's lower than that, though. A good guideline is no more than two drinks per hour, that's about the limit to the alcohol your body can flush out. Please be safe!

Why is none not the answer ? Do the smart thing and don't even attempt to have enough to be below the limit - it is completely the wrong attitude.
I hate todays society where people want everything banned and regulated more and more but that is one thing I would vote for - blood/alcohol level for driving to be changed to zero.
No such unit as no two people are the same when it comes to the absorption level.
Some people think if they have two pints of shandy that is only equivalent to one pint of beer, in fact it is about equal to consuming three pints as the action of the alcohol and the sugar in the lemonade increases the alcohol level in the blood.

Unless the limit is radically different than in the US, it's simple. Just limit your drinking to ONE drink per clock hour. That is, one standard sized beer- (not a litre) or one drink containing ONE shot of booze- not a pitcher of margaritas. You can drink as long as you wish, as long as you don't drink too quickly.
I've always thought one alcoholic drink, one pop/soda/water wait at least one hour, then i should be ok.
I am a big bloke capable of drinking a lot, but its not worth the risk one bottle of heavy strength beer can put me over the limit
