Is there a labor law for not enough restrooms for employees?

37 employees. 95% are women and there is only one womens restroom. we sometimes have to use the mens restroom. I just thought there would be some kind of law for this.

I feel for you. I was in the same kind of work environment where there was about 100 employees. 92 woman and 8 men. we had two bathrooms with two stalls each and the men had the same. I always felt this was very unfair but I'm
sorry, I have no idea what the law is. I have since left that job and am in a much better situation. Hang in there and hopefully there will be some resolution to your problem!


You'd probably have more luck in checking with your local health department or checking through the building code for whatever jurisdiction your place of employment is in.
