Answers:
Unlawful Wounding / Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm is an offence under section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
Offenders can be tried either summarily (magistrates court) or on indictment (crown court and jury).
The maximum sentence for the latter is five years and/or an unlimited fine. For the former, the maximum sentence is six months imprisonment.
The individual magistrate/ judge obviously has a great deal of freedom in the sentence he hands down, and will take into account any previous offences and background when they make their decison.
12 months bread and water
Depends on the State, room in the jails, chemical dependency programs, etc...
I personally would hold him responsible for his addiction causing the crimes, and if he violated anothers rights, he sits in prison for 3 years for each offense. If he killed someone, and the people say life for a life, his life.
He would spend all his time, with no early parole, and then he would have very strict parole, 5 years each offense.
they will take into account everything
previous convictions
personal situation
everything if its a first offence he might just get a slap on the wrist or suspended sentence however if its not he would be facing jail time prob not more than 2 years depending on his past
If you are looking at British Law; probably 7 weeks in Spain.
He will definately go to prison and i suggest he informs the police of any other crimes as these can be taken into consideration.,If he dosent and they find out after he has served his time he may end up going back inside
GBH is another way of saying better than you.I'm on 2 years probation for common assault just for wanting to see a mobile phone..
Truth helps.
You get treated better that way..
wounding covers a multitude of sins, like gbh with intent is next to a manslaughter charge.
