The legal sex age in the uk?

The legal age in the uk for sex is 16, but a school teacher told me that if its completely consentual, then two under sixteens can have sex, is this true, what are the laws on this if not? xx

I think what he means is that the legal age of consent is 16 which is true and the reason it is acceptable for two under-sixteens to have sex is that they would both technically be assualting eachother so it kind of cancels eachother out if you know what I mean.

If so I'm moving there right now...
