Why does our government want to build a fence between Texas and Mexico at our exspence?
Why not annex Mexico as the 51 State and tax the hell out of them and stop giving everyone a free ride that isn't a US citizen? I bet if illegals were taxed more than citizens then you wouldn't have all of the problems we now have. Stop letting people come here and not pay taxes for several years (pay like the rest of us)

Did you and a friend discuss this nonsense between bong hits? If Mexico became a state, wouldn't that make their people legal? If it were the highest taxed state, wouldn't the people who lived there move somewhere else? Wouldn't statehood make all the Mexicans who aren't already here eligible for welfare? A lot of people believe that a huge fence is the only way to keep illegals out of the USA. My own opinion (arguable, I know) is that it will cost us far, far more than it will save us, not only in money but in our international image. I like to hear alternative suggestions to deal with the problem of illegal immigration, but I doubt we can annex Mexico. Still, keep on thinking!
The government does EVERYTHING at our expense. We pay for everything. From the bombs, bullets, to the embossed stationary on Harry Reid's desk to Hillary's $5,000 haircuts. Everything they have is paid for by us.
Because Bush's ranch is in Texas! The answer is to speed up the legalization process for those who want to become taxpaying, US citizens and to kick out those who don't want to be citizens. And in the same bill they should give DC FULL representation on the Hill. Talk about "taxation without representation" !
