Mahatma Coat and Canadian Truck Drivers. Don't know how to send you a message, so it's coming like a question
You talked to one angry truckdriver and decided Canada must suck. I think it must be hard for truck drivers because the price of gas is so stinking high. But that's as far as it goes. We sure need the truck drivers to get stuff where it has to go, and it is their choice to do that kind of work. High gas costs all of us in one way or another, so it is a shared gripe. But as far as giving everything to Ottawa...we all have to pay our dues and our taxes. Expenses to your business are also deductions on income tax. Some truck drivers cut costs by overlooking safety on their rigs and then get p.o.'d when they are caught. Some people get killed by a truckdriver's lack of safety precautions. A friend of mine left her teeth in the steering wheel when a roll of steel rolled off the truck in front of her and landed on her car. And that was the least of her losses. She lived, surely a miracle that she did. Next time you talk to a pissed off Canadian truck driver...try to be objective.
