Charged but not convicted in 1991 of sexual assault didn't find out until 2005?

a girl stole my phone card charging $ 300.00 on the card, I tried to contact her to get the money I was told by a lawyer to leave it alone that she was a minor so I did , she can back with this sexual assault in the 2nd degree I found out 14 years later.

Answers:
Since you were never arrested or convicted, why does it matter? Apparently she did not have enough evidence to go anywhere with it.

BTW, since you did not know about it, you were more likely accused, not charged.
