Why do celebrities NEVER receive proper punishment for their actions like the rest of us would?
Now, I haven't heard much on the news about this, so i'm not positive of the details but, to what I've heard, this is the fourth time Lindsay Lohan's been caught driving under the influance, or with drugs; yet, she isn't going to jail.
When Paris Hilton committed her crime, she only spent, to what I've heard, three day's jail time, and was then in house lock-down. C'mon, in the summe- time with no classes and over-protective parents, I'm basically locked in my house too and my house isn't near as big! Anybody could live in their house for 30-somethin' days.
If I was caught with drugs, i would go to jail. When Lindsay Lohan is caught with drugs, she gets her story pasted all over the news and no jail-time only because she starred in a few movies. This isn't right or fair. Why must it be this way?
Also, if any of my facts are incorrect, I would very much like to know. :)

It really does seem sometimes like the biggest crime in America is not having any money but I wouldn't say that celebrities never have to pay for their crimes. We can rag on Paris all we want but, hey, at least the girl did her time. You shouldn't close the book on La Lohan just yet. She is in serious trouble and her legal troubles are not even close to being over. More and more celebrities are being made examples of and it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Lohan do some serious time. There will be too much of a public outcry if she's let off the hook.

Actually, Paris was sentenced to 28 days, only 3 of which she spent in house arrest.
Because they have money. They can pay their own bail and pay the right people off.
because our justice system is corrupted and is favored towards the rich and famous. and the fact that they can buy their way out of any situation.

like the rest of us would. Why is that?
Their name and their money get them out of trouble every time.

Actors become presidents and then the crap starts.
