The law according to parking tickets?

Hi. Does anyone know if there is a UK law stating to the effect that that all parking tickets should be placed so as not to obscur the driver's line of vision?

Surely if the ticket is placed in the middle of the window, the driver could have an accident and sue the parking enforcer who put it there?

Answers:
No, because seeing it, you are obligated to take it down and pay it or go to court.

No you fool take it off before you drive away, it's your responsibility to make sure your car is roadworthy. For gawd's sake what is up with people. And pay for your parking then you won't get a dam ticket in the first place.Hx
Just looking for any excuse eh? No, if you're trying to drive away whilst they are putting the parking ticket on your windscreen, you'll probably get done for trying to run them over too as well as the parking offence!!
Natural selection at work...
erhhh correct me if im wrong but when you see a parking ticket you take it off your window do a bit of cursing then throw it in your glove box and drive off still cursing about the little hitler that put it there rather than leave it on display like a trophy on your windscreen
Possibly, but if you have been an idiot - or just careless - and that was the main cause of an accident then damages awarded from a 'liable' verdict would be reduced by the percentage the claiment is considered to be at fault (contributory negligence). If you were enough of a numpty to leave the ticket on, you might get about 10% of the damages you were awarded, if not less.
since it is usually stuck on the outside of windscreen it is up to you to remove it no matter what we think of the suckers.
If the law says they can do it , then they will

But saying that if defacing private property with posters is illegal , then why can the law defend its own action , as no doubt this is allso illegal as well
Bit of a stange question really,as the law stands by you not removing the ticket from your view you have broken the law yourself.
Everytime you get into your car,you are responsible for it being ready to go on the road. This includes your lights are all working and removing anything that obscures your vision.

Say you park your car under a tree, and when you return the windscreen is covered in birds droppings.Your automatic reaction is swear at any birds in the tree, and wash your screen off so you can see properly.
Whatever is blocking your view is your responsibility,if you get into an accident because you could'nt see its your fault.
