Violent video footage being up loaded on the web? sick .?
whose responsible for this at the end of the day ?if you watched panarama this week you would have seen violence ,beatings to where the victims were left unconscious and bleeding whilst other kids looked on laughing and video ing it on their mobiles !!to up load on to such sites as youtube ...who when questioned refused to edit them ...surely there is some sort of law against this ? barbaric .
Answers:
What they're doing is wrong, the source of the wrong doing needs to be acted upon. To censor it would be wrong. It is a valid record of actual goings-on. It doesn't mean people should want to watch it.
I've never been able to understand the mentality of people to restrict free speach, freedom of expression. To hide reality and to keep the uglyness of the world out of sight instead of being more interested in figuring out where we went wrong that these things happen in the first place.
Turn a blind eye if you like. Ignore mans inhumanity to man.
Eventually you might find yourself confronted with such horror in person.
Personally, it motivates me to try and help.
As someone I know wrote on his site:
"I created the AntiViolence fundraiser because my brother Josh was brutally attacked in Los Angeles on the Metro subway earlier this year. The attackers slammed his face into the bar on the seat in front of him until he was unconscious then proceeded to rob him. He woke up a few hours later and crawled onto a street where someone found him and took him to the hospital.
His jaw was detached and wired shut, his eye socket fractured, sinuses shattered, nose broken, and teeth broken. He is doing better now. He has undergone sinus and dental surgery and quite a bit of dental work to have teeth fixed, braced, replaced and capped, but he is looking and doing well, especially after what has happened to him. You can read his recollection in his own words on his online journal."
When I heard what happened and that this project was in the making I donated unlimited use of my company's (balboatech.com) resources to the project so they could get a domain name & place to put the web site: http://antiviolence.us/ - did some promotion for the project...
So maybe it's good that we can potentially be exposed to the horror of humanity. Maybe it should motivate us to make a difference?
don't like it, don't watch it...keep your freedom hating hands off of the Internet
that is a form of speech, Freedom of speech protects unpopular speech, popular speech does not need protecting.
yes there should be a law, because people like this are just ruining the enjoyment for everyone else, and putting society at risk has people naturally like to copy what they see like the younger generation
3 words for you. Freedom of speech. or Freedom of expression. This is America. If you do not like the videos SIMPLY do not watch them. No one is forcing you.
Your ? reminds me of some1 who wanted to sue some1 because they saw a violent car accident, but were not involved in it.
I think there should be laws against people like you though.
I believe the gov, parents and community are to blame. These children are obviously lacking self confidence.
Give all children encouragement in the right areas and discourage children when joining in bad behaviour
The act of beating another person is criminal. Uploading the images onto the web is not. It is freedom of speech.
This kind of thing was happening long before mobile phones, it just wasn't recorded. Yes, it's terrible and should be stopped somehow.
It's going to be a hard slog though - hatred and violence come from ignorance, and considering the ignorance of so many parents, is it any wonder children grow up this way?
