butt beat when I was a kid and it didn't make me a criminal.. How do you feel? I actually have morals and a solid belief system!

I did too...and so am I.
I think if how a person reacts to negative situations is about personal strength, and knowing inside what is right and wrong and choosing to do the right thing.
On the other hand, my brothers both had turbulent teen years, and one has got his life finally together and the other one is a mess. We all grew up in the same house with the same alcoholic, abusive banshee for a mother and we all turned out different.
It's a crapshoot anywhichway...
I got mine busted every time I did something wrong, and it didn't make me a criminal either. in fact I think it made me a better person than I would have been if I had not had any discipline. time outs don't work, and telling kids mustn't does not work, a good old fashioned spanking works the best
It is because our society has turned into a IT NOT MY FAULT society. You always hear the defense that because of their childhood. Always blaming others because of their actions. Johnny's father didn't hug him enough so he became a mass murderer.
