Can older siblings get custody of younger siblings?
I live in IN and I want to know my rights as a sibling. My younger sisters and brother are living with their aunt. Both of their parents have died. There was a incident with the girls and I think they need to leave where there staying. How can I go by this?
Answers:
First file for custody in your local family court. Second have a home study done so the courts know that you are stable enough to care for your siblings. This will also let them know that you have the living space and that your home is safe enough for the children. Since they live with a family member already you may have to prove that they are possibly not safe where they are. Also give it some thought because believe me this is a huge responsibility.

Yes
as long as you have a job, a place to live, recommendations, and a few other things, and the judge rules in your favor you can get custody. There is a movie on lifetime called Gracies Choice, watch it. It's based on a true story.
Assuming you are 18 or older, or have been emancipated, see a family lawyer. If you are a minor yourself, call family and child protection services.
