I am a mother of a 23 month old boy who has severe diasbiling physical and mental health problems.?

I am currently separated from my husband (not legally as the state does not have legal separation) and I am a teacher. My son is on my insurance through my job. I have tried getting him on medicaid or medicare (heck, I've tried getting him on everything), but I am constantly being told that I make too much. I would really love to be able to afford to have a private nurse come to the home and stay with him while I work, but the insurance won't cover it. Yet, I'm being told that there are children with the same problems that he has who are getting this service provided through the state. Does anyone know any loopholes that would allow him to get medical assistance from the state or fed government without me needing to quit my job? or Does anyone know of any other programs out there that would help provide private care at home? I would really appreciate the help. I feel so lost and confused. I don't know what to do to help my child.

Answers:
Find a support group of people with the same kinds of disabilities as your child, or a nonprofit that is associated with the disability and ask. Heart defect? Try the American Heart Association. Mental Retardation? The ARC. You get the idea. Find as many as you can that relate to the conditions, and connect with the ones for each of the different disabilities your child has. The internet is a great way to find these groups, or ask your local United Way to point you in the right direction. Ask them who to talk to. Remember that you are not the first to go through this, so your task is to find others who have been through it. There may also be a state agency responsible for assisting people with your/your child's situation. Have you located one? The associations affiliated through the groups can probably tell you about governmental agencies.

You make too much money for state funded health care programs such as medicaid. The children that are receiving this assistance come from homes less fortunate than yours.
If you were black I bet you could get it. It is all about race. They will gladly accept a person of the same circumstances if they were black.

Here's the #1 rule for Americans. If you are responsible, you work, and your white....your screwed

Good Luck though, I would rather my taxes be used to help you than for the d*mn illegals that we support than are flooding this country my the millions. Or how about Marquavious who doesn't work and her 5 Welfare babies that live in the projects.
