Is there anyone in here familiar with Texas Law?
Answers:
it does not sound like any new charges. what has happened is that the judge is making him serve out the time that had probation. instead of probation he will have to serve the time in jail.retired texas deputy sheriff of 25 years
Regarding what? Family, criminal, etc.?
Irregardless of the time served on the latest charge, he has a parole violation because of the new charges and likely a motion to revoke. Unless he appeals for, and is also granted time served, and/or the parole violation is dismissed, he'll probably be required to finish his time (original sentence) on the state detainer.
I am a cop in Texas. If it refers to the penal code etc... I might be able to help you. I am NOT an attorney though, so my answers might be limited in scope .
