What happens if report abuse on some one?

Depends on how you do it, if you say you want ot remain anonymous they might ask you to come down to the Station to give more info. Some places will just take the info and do their own investigation.
you are asked to select from a list what the abuse is. if it is against the community guidelines then it is deleted
they get arrested. but if they didnt do anything, then they should be fine.
Someone will come and investigate and depending on what they find they'll either take action or drop it.
it depends on the kind of abuse, it usually has to go through police and can take a while, there has to be a witness and proof of abuse, there are different cases for different things, you may have to go to court and make a statement against the other person, you may have to face that person who caused the abuse, but there is protection so no one can come near you, tell friends and family about what happened so you have support but if your unsure you can ring a hot line like lifeline, youll find it in your phone book
