HELP! i AM REALLY SCARED!?
My uncle is in trouble with the law and has a trial on Friday. He could go to jail. It will be in the papers and maybe on the local news. How can I deal?
Answers:
You are not your uncle. If you are embarassed about it, you shouldn't be. Life sometimes throws curve balls, but that's what makes us stronger.
pray ,keep hope
um you just deal with it
Pray. You are not your uncle, you are not responsible for his actions.
All I can say is Good Luck to your unlcle, depending on what he did if it is that bad he will have to pay the consequences.
If you can, try to attend the trial. Make up your own mind based on the EVIDENCE, not on what your uncle says. Chances are that if he did something wrong, he wouldn't tell you about it because he wants you to think better of him.
And until the trial, spend some quality time with your uncle.
Honey you can't deal,That's just what goes with It k, babe. My 18yr. son Is In the same boat and theyaaaaaaain't a damn thing I can do about It. I wish I could help I really do.
Just be prepared for additional attention. We had a family member committed and was in the papers and on news for child molesting. We had NOTHING to do with it - and it was my husband's sister's EX Husband! And they still tracked down our family and for about a week there were reporters and annoyances. Even with something like this though - no comment and avoidance went a long way.
Talk to people, there should be some form of counselling available to you if you feel you need it.
In what way is this YOUR problem?
We all have relatives. Some of them do good things. Some of them do bad things. What they do (unless they do it to us) is really none of our business--and not our fault.
If you care about your uncle, of course you are concerned about what will happen to him. Keep in mind, he has made his own choices. If he has broken the law, it was a choice. Choices come with consequences. You can do nothing about the choices he has made. It is not your problem.

Don't panic too much. Make sure you know that he is safe with you in his heart! And remember he loves you. He loves you soooo much!
