Is it possible for me to cancel the bond i posted for my mother to get out of jail before she is sentenced?
Answers:
No. Once u put up the money u'll never get it back. That's like eating a meal in a restaurant then wanting ur money back because u didn't like the food.
Yes.
All you have to do is inform the court that that's what you want, then the judge will revoke it.
EDIT:
Cool Breeze is an idiot. A dinner is a service rendered. Bail is an ongoing concern. A promise made (with money) that the person on bail will return. Once the case is disposed of you get the money back. If they jump bail, it's forfeit.
And if you no longer want your money involved in the matter it's yours to take back.
You can cancel the bond, I don't think that I could do that to my mother but then again I don't know your situation.
You need to notify the courts that you wish to cancel the bail, if you mom is still in she will stay in, if she is out you will need to deliver her back to jail (call the police and have her picked up)
