How can NBC show the faces of the guys caught on "catching a predator"?
Don't you have to sign consent forms to be shown on tv? I cant imagine those guys want to be on national tv.
Answers:
They don't have a choice. They don't get arrested until after they leave the house; I love that show; hope they keep it going and get all those pervs big time.
Remember up until they are arrested they are just pawns in a scam perpetrated upon them by the non profit group that the NBC show monitors.its GREAT.
you on there??
Because prisoners have very little rights.
lol non profit group? are u kidding me. That watchdog group that does it charges like 200,000 per episode i really think they profit big from that show. Follow up question: how can these people get charged for crimes against minors if they people they are chatting with are over 18? Doesn't make too much sense to me.
not if caught in the act of comitting a crime
Sure they don't. They must have been there just for a midnight stroll
Well, no.It is not a matter of the predator giving consent. The person that is caught have their opportunity to explain their actions. It falls along the same thinking of entrapment. But, since the female that portrays herself as a minor and, doesn't say much. The would be predator does all the talking, so it's not entrapment nor it is a case " providing permission" to be televised. These predators have all ready made their arrangements before NBC becomes involved. So, thankfully, the shows exist to let the world know, just how prevalent this is and who is " caught in the act". It amazes me that these men, just because of their status in life, believe that they are above the law and have convinced themselves that they have done nothing wrong. There have been rabbis', doctors' etc. that have been nabbed. Just think, this may not have been possible without that show!!
because in some states, the ones on the show, its not illegal to video tape someone with out their permission.
