Do you think it is ridiculous that the NAACP is backing up Michael Vick for a crime he obviously committed?
Answers:
Yes it shows just how prejudice and racist they are
You wouldn't expect less from a ridiculous organization like that.
Yes, it is rediculous that they are doing that,...but that is the way the Black Club works, always in a failing mode.
why would they defend Scooter Libby?
Yea..why even have a trial? Anybody got a rope?
That's sounds pretty stupid, but that's exactly what you said. I know this is the court of public opinion, but the reality is that, in the America I know and love, you are innocent until proven guilty. And that is all the NAACP said.
How can you really argue with that?
I don't think it's strange at all. That is something to be expected from that disorganization.
how could you expect any thing less? now wait until the a,c,l,u, the A.D.L. also the J,D,L, get their 2 cents worth in that should just about make it complete, these organizations are not for the benefit of Americans it is for the benefit of politics, and it seems they want to do the irrational, some times just for the publicity,
you are right! Reminding people that he deserves to be treated fairly as would any other accused person is outrgageous. The nerve.
well, normally i am against the NAACP and ACLU, but not in this case.
The PETA people are outside the Falcons' training camp demanding that he be fired for the crimes he is accused of. There are also similar demonstrations outside the courthouse.
The reason the American Legal System (despite how inefficient it is) and Due Process were put into being is so that people could receive fair treatment and would receive punishment AFTER being convicted.
If Michael Vick loses his job because of crimes he hasn't been convicted of, then his civil rights actually ARE being violated. He can be dropped from any and all endorsements, but he cannot lose his job for something he hasn't been convicted of yet.
Now, for the NAACP to be involved is a bit racist, but then again, the entire organization is. Michael Vick isn't in hot water because he is black. He is in trouble because he committed felonies. Race has nothing to do with it.
** On a side note, as each day passes, i am less sure on whether he did it or not. From my understanding, the property, although in his name, is used mainly by his cousin. Also, the charges of animal cruelty are all heresay. The reason the feds are interested is because A.) gambling (and lots of it) occurred and they didn't get their cut. B.) it took place across multiple states, giving reason to believe that it was a very large scale, sophisticated organized group.
