Background check help?

In a background check, can the company that does the check find out who you've worked for in the past if you don't tell them? I told them I had no work experience and that this is my first job, but I did work for like 2 weeks at another place, will they find out?

The company doing the check is WalMart, by the way. Please help.

Answer:
nah, if you were going for a security clearance I might think they'd find it. There may be some record of wages earned via social security records, but you are probably safe (unless by two weeks you really mean two years)

Probably not unless there's some way they can access your social security records.
Yes, they can find out if they check your tax records.
As a rule, they are more concerned with criminal and driving issues, rather than work history.

If they do find out, just explain that you didn't feel that a 2 week long stint could be considered 'employment'.
